About the Designer

Born in the United States and raised by immigrant textile workers, Lianne Almeida brings a unique perspective to the fashion industry. Having started as an 18-year-old intern, she has grown her career in the most unexpected ways: first becoming a senior editor at a magazine, then a creative director for clients around the world, and now, a designer of her own couture label.

While many fall into the lap of design, Almeida believes it was her calling, having wanted to become a fashion designer ever since she could speak. Only now, her time has come to bring the very designs her young self dreamt of seeing in the world.
